Port Riverwalk

One Day at a Time

This is my second attempt at the prosperity challenge. I still plan to keep one year rotations, though it will be very fast paced in the beginning. The year is 1655. Again, I am not keeping with the time period. Maybe one day I will, but today is not that day.

Originally, I had chosen the name Point Riverwild from the randomizers. I decided that I liked Port better than Point as I hope to take advantage of the new residential beach lots and plan to have water nearby. The Riverwild was morphed into Riverwalk, the name of an actual condominium complex here in Michigan that I helped to design. The addresses are simply the rotation order. The premise is that this is a pre-existing neighborhood where the residents have slowly moved away, until only 4 families remain.

The Neighborhood

Port Riverwalk

This small, curiously empty city beside the sea is best known as a backwater. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in deception, and its most noteworthy feature is the eclectic architectural style.

The Colleges

Tired of being stuck in the same dorm as your little sister? We've completely overhauled our dorm rooms so students may enjoy sharing a dorm with Sims with similar interests and have those objects they most desire based on their traits. But beware, our strict entrance requirements still apply. You must do the footwork before you can decide you want to slack off in college.

La Fiesta Tech

At La Fiesta Tech, Sims with a thirst for knowledge will be surrounded by bookcases, chess tables, and computers in the Oasis Dorm. On the rare occassion you want to take a break from studying, you can try your hand at gardening in our large green house. Sims that are more interested in studying the opposite sex will love the Desert Dorm where they can enjoy hot tubs, double beds, and the company of likewise-minded students. Sims interested in making friends and hanging out can party hardy in the Fiesta Hall Dorm. Its claim to fame include 14 dorm rooms so there's bound to always be someone up, no matter what the hour may be. All students applying for enrollment must have atleast 5 skill points in all skills and 4 skill related scholarships.

Sim State University

At Sim State University, those sims aspiring to making money and owning businesses will enjoy the selection of workstations provided by Craftin' It Industries at the Sim State Dorm. Back aching from hours of crafting? Sit at the comfortable poker table and weedle some of your dormmates hard earned money from them. For those sims who are tired of searching for their soul mates among sims who are just looking for a good time, more interested in books than people, or 'just want to be friends', you'll feel right at home in the Pinenut Plaza Dorm, with it's charming country decor. Enjoy a game of catch, darts, or go fishing between studies and spouse hunting. Everyone else will find college life quite pleasurable at the Landgrabb Dorms where activities range from snowball fights, to bowling, and almost everything in between. All students applying for enrollment must have atleast 5 skill points in all skills and 2 skill related scholarships.
